I missed the ATC session and fun last month, but finally March session was here. Moses introduced us to the style of painting by Georgia O'Keefe (1887-1986), an American painter best known for her large-format paintings of natural forms, especially flowers and bones. We focused on orchids and we tried to come up with their own drawing/painting using everything from markers, colour pencils to watercolours.

I'm not a painter myself, and attempted my best with watercolours. Much, much more to brush up :(

The theme for March was "Three on Tree". I swapped 2 ATCs done on the theme (bottom 2 - ladybirds by Mdm Au, and the owls by Vicki). The origami rooster and pig were Rita's works.

My own ATCs - a simple-fold ATC, "Who's Hiding?", an origami frog hiding in the grass when the ATC is unfolded.
and "What I Sewed" - a three-fold ATC with stitched flower and floral buttons, complete with a die-cut needle and thread.

I have been tatting a lot of flowers for more ATCs, but they are not done yet :( But, there will be more in my next post!

Nice ATC's Ellen. I haven't seen ones that opened up before. Good idea!
lovely ATCs. I love the one with buttons!
Yes, they are novel to me too. They are for a swap, can't wait to see what the others will come up
