Jane Eborall's TIAS 3 - Day 1
I didn't follow the previous 2 TIAS, no way I can miss this current one! Here's my Day 1 done. I hid the threads differently from Jane's method, I did what I do normally.
On your picture I wish I could flick that top green thread out of the way to see if I can decifer how your hiding your threads, did you tat over top of them? no knots? is the green hid under the pink ds-s and the pink under the green ds-s? I'm having such a problem with hiding threads and am very interested in how others are doing it.
Hi Bonnie, I didn't tie any knot. When I started the 2nd ring (ie. the split ring) using the green thread on the 1st shuttle, I tatted over the end of the pink thread. Before I start the 2nd half of the split ring, I pull the 2nd shuttle until the pink end is short. Then I tatted using the 2nd shuttle and hid the green end at the same time. I won't cut the 2ends off yet, will see how the pattern goes later.
Well done getting day 1 finished. It should get a bit easier for a while!!! As for hiding ends - try looking at Gina's blog here http://threadsofatattinggoddess.blogspot.com/ She's given me a new idea too!!! Jane
