Motif No. 9 (Parrot), 10 (Peacock) & 11 (Becky's Paper Clip)

I'm finally done with the Extreme Round Robin and sent out my last motif (or rather, motifs) to Becky, to make up for her long wait.

This parrot (Motif No. 9), tatted with mainly Flora and Coats size 20 threads, is the main one which I have been working on for months, which I feel there is still much for improvement.

Next is a small peacock (Motif No. 10) tatted with Olympus 40. Thought this might make a nice brooch.
And a pair of paper clips specially designed for Becky (Motif No. 11). Hope Becky likes the selection!

Next is the butterfly which I received from Camille earlier for this Round Robin. See those clunies! And it is tatted with fine thread! Now waiting for the last one from Wally.

So much for tattting. Kristine drew & coloured all the 4 panels and frame for this lantern, and I assembled them up. She was so happy when her teacher complimented it was super nice and it was picked to be hung up for the mooncake festival celebration in the school on last Fri.

Fantastic work Ellen!! Your parrot and peacock are so cool. You should think about selling your desings on Etsy. I know I am not the only one wishing for the patterns. You're very creative!! I remember you had an awesome tatted goldfish also.

Your daughter's lantern turned out great. Her artwork is very nice.

I enjoy your blog very much!!

Have a great day!!!

Thank you everyone for all the compliments on the birds. The parrot was one of the toughest for me, I was stuck on it for months! I am still hoping to improve on it in the near future.

I'm working on writing out the patterns, it's really not easy for asymmetrical patterns, but I'm working on them slowly.

Hiya,
I really like the butterfly that Camilla did. I was wondering where she got the pattern and does she have a blog or website somewhere. I do not know who she is. I hope you can help me find out. Love all of your tatted work. What eye candy it all is!!

Hi Sherry, the butterfly is from Camille McIntosh. Don't think she has any website or blog, but her email is camille_in_knots@msn.com. I believe it is her pattern, but it wasn't very clear in her mail.

Wow, I'm stumped by all the beautiful tatting you have done (and I still haven't seen half of it)! This parrot is simply fantastic !!!

Thanks, Muskaan! I'm going slower with tatting nowadays (since venturing in more types of crafts and swaps), but I'm still tatting, still doing some new designs and still teaching some to tat.
