A Lucky Win and Winners to My Blog Giveaway

A most lucky win of a blog giveaway - a dichroic pendant hand-made by RWillisGlassArtist. I have been eyeing such dichroic glass pendants for sometime. I love this orangy-red tone, just nice to go with my many earth-coloured clothes. The photos just don't do enough justice to the pendant. Check out Rhonda's etsy store for more of her colourful dichroic jewellery!

And the winners to my blog giveaways ...

Randi and Victats! Congratulations!
Please send me your snail mail and I'll get the threads and stuff on your way.

Can you believe it? Another 4 resignations! This tatted name is for Lai Meng. Her last working day is tomorrow. And I don't know why the photo just couldn't load properly today.

Congrats on your win and the winners of your giveaway! That ruler (is that what it is?) is pretty with the tatted letters. I am wondering what letter patterns you used? It's one of the nicer ones I've seen. I think I'd like to tat "TattingChic" for my ruler...or maybe just a nice edging, LOL! WHat thread did you use for that also (size and brand-please)?

Hi TattingChic, I mounted the alphabets on a translucent piece of ribbon with gold trimmings, and slipped it into a plastic bookmark sleeve. Just intended it to be a bookmark or a name plate.

i love this set of alphabets, they are Teri Dusenbury's patterns. I think they are still available somewhere on the internet, probably there will be a link from her blog.

This particular thread is Guttermann Sulky (Col. 4006). I used Cotton 12 and the alphabets turned out about 2.8cm in height. The earlier name I tatted "Rafii" was also done in this thread in another colour. The next colour I will try will be col. 4020 (green with reddish-brown). These threads are also available in Cotton 30 which is thinner.

Oh, thanks for sharing that. I guess it does look more like ribbon. Teri makes some beautiful patterns, but she tends to get upset when people post their tatting they've done with it. Why she keeps posting patterns on the internet I will NEVER know. I'll pass on tatting ANY more of her patterns EVER, sorry! Thanks so much for taking the time to explain that to me. You're a dear! :)
