Some Works for Swaps

2 favourite swaps I have joined since the last 2 years at the start of the year - Chinese New Year ATC swap host by MaryAnn (USA).  I did more swing cards with recycled CNY cards

And the other swap - Bowl of Hearts, hosted by Jan Lewis (USA).  Again, I added tatting.

I have not done any doll ATCs for a while.  Here are the pairs for a swap hosted by Debra Claxton over at Paper Traders.  You won't have problem recognising them from Alice In Wonderland, right?  My Spade Gardeners are holding origami roses, while the Heart Royals are carrying origami hearts.

Stitchmap had the first Fun Friday Tutorial for the year doing miniature weaving. I like small project and had a go at it.  Weaved an one-inch square with size 20 cotton threads and backed with leather.  Can't find my heart beads, and flowers are too common, it ended up as an amulet/fob with an evil eye!  I love evil eye beads!

March ATC Session @Bishan Library

Mdm Au continued to show us how to quill these lovely cats and even a tiny mouse.  Just perfect for the saying about cats.

I did another 2 intuitive watercolour ATCs for the theme "Animals".

Swapped 1 with Selina. And the cats I quilled.

The theme for April ATC session is "Easter".  I'll try some egg-shaped ATCs which should be interesting.

Some Places We Went

I didn't post earlier these, just some places we went last year during the school holidays.

We wouldn't miss Wild Rice pantomime "Monkey Goes West" - just amazing how the script writer came up with the story, adapted to local context and set in the modern era!  The West in the musical referred to Jurong which is west in Singapore, so the journey was made from Haw Par Villa to Jurong!

My girl and I hopped in the Alive Museum on the spur of the moment after a late show at GV Suntec, with a good discount off the admission charge with the ticket stubs.  We had to rush through the museum with only an hour from the closing, but we almost had the whole place to ourselves!
Spent New Year's Eve bowling and catching a show, with a bit of shopping and a dinner at our favourite Japanese restaurant in Vivocity.
